EXPEREIENCE IN MUMBAI

Hi all,

One old song “sorrgame yenralaum athu namma ora pola varuma”
(even heavan can’t be like our hometown) came to my mind on last week when I stuck in the Marooned Mumbai.

Last Tuesday, when my colleague got call from her cousin about local trains was cancelled, all we thought this might resume as usual in the evening. But, I realized at 8 pm, after four hours standing the station, this was abnormal. The telecom companies, Mumbai’s Life Line Local trains, the economic capital’s Politicians, Met dept all equally played well their role to kept us stranded.

I was managed to reach my home with the help of trespassers after 48 hours of that Tuesday. I did not know real position in the city till I read newspapers. People were drowned in the water while return back to the home by walking with help of floodwater and the Opened Manholes. There was no water, Power & no essential things bcoz of the non operative trains. Even after eight days of that torrential Tuesday, Mumbai Mechanism has not able to run fully.

Our people, who dreamed about Mumbai, should understand that this City is not a nice place to live a modern city life, especially for the Middle class people. If you compare with Madras, really this Island city don’t Have much Infrastructures like flyovers, drainage systems, even no timers in the signals. But, we should appreciate Mumbaikars patience & their tactics in making money.

There was good thing in this disaster, It was illuminated the city’s
Real face which really a very good one.

Now, becoming Mumbaikar and I must agree all these things Even I like it or not.
